After a two year stay in Buffalo, NY, Gustavo Cordoba returned to his home in Pasto, Columbia and began to let people know about Quakers in a special one of the most important parts of Quakerism which is the Direct Contact with the Light through our Silence Meetings. We are determined to continue our work for peace in this region of Colombia, which in recent years has been plagued by violence of all kinds. We are convinced that the Quaker Way is one of the best options our community has to achieve this goal of peace.
A Friend in Columbia, Gustavo Cordoba shares a little part of the Q'ero's wisdom. They are regarded as the last living Incas, who survived for more than 450 years, hidden from the western invaders by living at an elevation of 16,000 feet until the 1950s.
