The Ministry & Counsel Committee nurtures the spiritual life of our Monthly Meeting through care for worship, spiritual growth, and the pastoral needs of our members and attenders. Guided by the Spirit and the wisdom of Friends, we seek to strengthen our community, support individual journeys of faith, encourage spiritual gifts, and offer loving care through life’s joys and challenges. We also help the Meeting reflect on its spiritual condition and discern ways to deepen our shared life and witness.

How Do We Minister? Let Me Count the Ways.

I want to offer this query: “What are all the ways in which people in a meeting minister to the community whether to one, some, or all? By ministry, I mean service which increases a sense of the Beloved Community. The more I explored this query, both in my own experience and as I listened to others, the more I agreed with Lloyd Lee Wilson’s (Conservative NC Friend) comment Quakers: “It’s a big tent, Friends. There’s room for all.”
