Within the framework of the month for peace celebrated in the state of Nariño, Colombia from September the 4th to October the 4th, some members and attendants of Pasto Quakers Worship Group participated in a demonstration for “Gathering of Knowledge for Peace” which was scheduled by the mayor’s office of Pasto.

We made flyers and posters, and once we had them placed, we sat in silent action for peace.

We are determined to continue our work for peace in this region of Colombia, which in recent years has been plagued by violence of all kinds. We are convinced that the Quaker Way is one of the best options our community has to achieve this goal of peace.

Perhaps the small action will encourage, at least among us,to continue along this Quaker path of justice and peace.
